More than 50 top brands in travel participate at Travel Revolution 2015 - The Event (27 - 29 March 2015)

02/25/2015

Singapore - More than 50 top brands in travel are coming together to organise a revolutionary travel fair that made headlines end of last year. 24 outbound travel agencies formed a strategic partnership and working committee to organise a travel fair from 27 – 29 March 2015 at Marina Bay Sands B2 Expo Halls D – F, spanning 17,000 square metres, to better serve the interests of both businesses and consumers.

Previously known as Outbound Travel Fair, the highly anticipated event is now aptly named Travel Revolution 2015 – The Event to signify the need for travel agencies to be visionary and dare to be different due to changing landscapes and travel patterns of consumers. It will showcase more than 50 outbound travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, cruises, hotels, car rental companies, tourism organisations, 11 travel-related vendors and nine banks, with Visa as the Official Card Partner and i-Weekly as the Official Magazine.

“Visa is proud to be the Official Card Partner for the inaugural Travel Revolution 2015 – The Event. Based on VisaNet data, Singaporeans love to travel, where airlines and accommodation related purchases are the top two spending categories for Visa cardholders, contributing to almost one fifth of total card spend as of September 2014. As the Official Card Partner for this event, we are pleased to be able to provide relevant travel related rewards and privileges for Visa cardholders and continue to be the top of wallet payment brand” said Ooi Huey Tyng, Visa Country Manager for Singapore and Brunei.

Added Alicia Seah, spokesperson for Travel Revolution 2015 – The Event, “Consolidated advertising value exceeding one million dollars has been committed to publicise the event via both new and traditional platforms including online, social, mobile, print, radio, TV and out-of-home media. With our promise of revolutionary holidays with revolutionary savings and value, we are hopeful of achieving a total of 80,000 in visitors and S$100 million dollars in sales turnover for the three-day event.
